A Year Ahead at The Florence Trust

From 1st August I will be based at The Florence Trust in Highbury North London.

I see this as a great opportunity to focus more on my installation and mixed media work.

The Florence Trust provides the opportunity to join a small group of selected artists working for an intense and concentrated period of one year, pushing boundaries and exploring new ideas. Housed in St. Saviours, an inspiring Grade 1 listed Victorian church, the Florence Trust offers an exceptional experience through networks, support and reputation. This goes well beyond the normal provision of studio space. For many previous artists, their period here provided a turning point in their careers.

Fun Weekend at Chocolate Factory N16 Open Studios

Last November I moved into a great new studio space called the Chocolate Factory. Set up in the mid-nineties by an artist called Keith Ashley, the studios recently doubled in size with the creation of a brand new purpose built block of artist studios, one of which is where I work.

The studios all look out over a shared outside space which gives the place a unique quality, an oasis of creative energy in bustling North London. The weekend just gone, 16th and 17th June, the studios opened their doors to the public, both Saturday and Sunday were busy with a steady flow of punters.
