Expression
These works are expressionistic in form; part homage to the abstract expressionist artists of the twentieth century and part playful experimentation. A recurring theme in the work is a conflict between experiences of an interior life (thought, imagination and emotion) and a fast-paced global (sometimes brutal) external environment. For example domestic commentaries sit next to representations of large scale construction and destruction.
